I have used this in temps around 6 degrees Fahrenheit recently. It has helped for these cold range days. I really appreciate the option to attach it to a plate carrier or simply using the strap. I have used both methods and both work well. though I prefer the strap around the waist. I have not used chemical hand warmers with this, but I imagine that’d make things even more pleasant. I am happy with this purchase and to have the ability to easily continue my range days in the winter
